We Need Your Help

The Liverpool Easter 1916 Commemoration Committee needs your help to remember the Liverpool women and men of Easter 1916.

Did you have relatives involved in Irish organisations in Liverpool during this period? if so, we would love to hear from you.

Do you have any photos, memoriabilia or artifacts associated with this period? Again, we’d love to hear from you.

Please contact us if you think you can help the Committee in anyway you think might be helpful.

    To whom it may concern,
I am a recent graduate of Hons History from Trinity College Dublin, and spent the my Master’s year studying Irish History in the early twentieth century under the supervision of Prof. Ann Dolan. I am a native of Drogheda and still in the town from where, the Thornton Family originate. I am currently working on a research paper on the role Nora Thornton played during the 1916 Rising, as part of the 2016 commemorations for Drogheda. If there is any help I that I might be able to provide from local level, I would be more than happy to assist. I like to wish you all the very best of luck in your endeavours, and look forward to hearing from you in the not too distant future.
    kind regards
    Audrey Smith
